This is the story of a couple who treated animals badly and at last they were shrinked to very small size by the animals. The couple had a wife and a husband which were Mr.Twit and Mrs.Twit. They had a group of monkeys captured in a cage and a leafless tree in their garden.  They liked to eat bird pie every Wednesday morning. So Mr.Twit applied super glue on the tree's branches on Tuesday morning. When the birds sat on the tree, they got stuck on the branches. On Wednesday morning Mr.Twit took off the birds and smashed off their heads. Mrs.Twit took those birds and made a bird pie out of it to eat.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          This went on for days. On other days, they ate something else. One day they were going to eat a vegetable that looks like red worms. While making the food that day, Mrs.Twit thought of giving worms with food. So she brought some red worms out of the garden, boiled them with the food and carefully put all the worms Mr.Twit's plate. When they began eating, after some time Mr.Twit asked if there was any other wiggly thing in the food. At that moment Mrs.Twit gave out a belly laughter and told that she had added worms to his plate which he was feeling as wiggly.

To take revenge of this act of Mrs.Twit, he thought of a plan. He went to the garage which was beside his house at that night with  Mrs.Twit's chair on which she sat while eating food or doing anything. He cut a piece of the chair's wood from it's legs daily. One day while eating food Mrs.Twit noticed that she has shrinked a bit. She asked her husband that how it was happening. Mr.Twit replied that when this happens to someone, the person's head shrinks into the neck, the neck into the stomach, the stomach in ti the knees, the knees into the legs and the legs finally shrink into the feet and the person disappears(actually Mr.Twit was decreasing the size of the chair).

Mr.Twit wanted to earn money through his monkeys. So he made them do many unusual things. These were like making them stand on each other, the biggest at the bottom and the smallest at the top. The monkeys were not happy with this. They wanted to get free from the cage in which they were kept. Once they wanted to save the birds. So, when the birds were about to sit on the branches with super glue, the monkeys warned them not to sit there. The birds then sat on the cage. Next time, Mr.Twit applied super glue on the branches as well as on the cage. this time the monkeys denied the birds not to sit on the branches and the cage.

Like this they saved the birds from dying. The Twits thought how to catch the birds. Soon they had the idea of guns. They locked the house, hid the key and went out to the market to bring the guns. Meanwhile, the birds arrived. The monkeys had thought of a plan to teach the Twits a lesson. They told the birds the hidden place of the key and asked to bring it to open the cage and the house. They also told one of the birds to bring the super glue which was hanging in the garage. Everything was brought and the monkeys were out of the cage in a few minutes and the house was also opened.

Their plan was to make the house appear as upside down. So, what happened next? The birds and the monkeys altogether lifted things from the floor and then pasted them on the ceiling. At first they lifted the carpet, then the sofa, then the table, then the chair and like this they took and pasted everything on the roof. When they were doing so, one of the birds was looking whether the Twits are coming or not. When the bird saw them coming, it informed the animals to get out to their own places. Soon the birds were on the roof of the house and the monkeys in the cage and the key was hidden at it's place.

 

When the Twits entered the house, the found everything on the ceiling and thought the house was upside down. So they also stood on their hands and the head touched to the bottom but when tried to remove them, they were stuck. This was because one of the birds had dropped super glue on their head. So they were unable to move. The thing that was told by Mr.Twit of body parts shrinking into each other came true. Their heads went in the necks. the necks into the stomachs, the stomachs in the knees, the knees into the legs, the legs into the feet and at last they disappeared.
